Archived modelled estimates and projections of hypertension for PCTs in England
PLEASE NOTE: These estimates and projections have been superseded by the update released 7 December 2011.
Estimates and projections of the prevalence of hypertension for all PCTs in England (2008), based on a model developed by the Department of Primary Care and Social Medicine, Imperial College, London.
Estimated prevalence of hypertension by sex, by broad ethnic group and by age band for 2005-2020.
January 2009: Results have been updated using latest ONS estimates of population by ethnic group for PCTs. For PCTs that are coterminous with one or more Local Authorities this will make no difference. However, PCTs with more complex geographical relationships to LAs (i.e. covering partial LAs) should use the revised estimates.
