Health and Social Care and Sustainable Development in the East of EnglandThe study was commissioned by the Department of Health, East of England Public Health Group from the Centre for Public Services and the Nuffield Institute for Health. The purpose of the study is to quantify the present and future role of the health and social care economy (public, private and voluntary sectors) in the regional economy and to identify the impact on, and contribution to, sustainable development and regional economic and social objectives.
