PLEASE NOTE: These estimates and projections have been superseded by the update released 7 December 2011.

Estimates and projections of the prevalence of hypertension for all Local Authorities in England (2008), based on a model developed by the Department of Primary Care and Social Medicine, Imperial College, London.

Estimated prevalence of hypertension by sex, by broad ethnic group and by age band for 2005-2020.

Latest modelled estimates of disease prevalence can be found at http://www.apho.org.uk/diseaseprevalencemodels.
